Please keep in mind that you have to provide the original documents for all drivers who are registered in the rental contract. Copies are not accepted.

Please check your voucher and rental terms and conditions at an early stage. You can find all relevant booking information in it:
- Who is your rental car supplier?
- Which vehicle category did you book?
- How much is the vehicle deposit?
- What are the charges for additional services (one-way-rental, child’s seat, GPS etc.) which must be paid directly in the car rental office?
- Which insurances are already included? Only if you know the TUI CARS services included you can avoid accepting insurances or services you don’t need.
Please note that insurances concluded on the spot are non-refundable.
If you have booked a downtown-station please check the direction to the station in order to arrive on-time. In the event of a delay (waiting period of 1 hour) the car rental supplier is entitled to rent the car to another customer.
Renting the vehicle at the airport it is advisable to indicate your flight number while booking. If you would like to give us your flight number after your booking, please contact our TUI CARS service center. Only if you indicate the flight number the supplier is able to check flight delays. In this case the car reservation could remain. Should you be late for another reason, please contact the car rental office. You can find the contact details on your voucher.
For hotel deliveries please check the rental condition in which way the delivery is organized. In some destinations you will be picked up by a shuttle service from the hotel and will be brought to the rental station.
Rental car upgrades
We recommend you to book a sufficiently large vehicle in advance. If you book an upgrade at the car rental office it is usually much more expensive than your booking on www.tuicars.com.
In case your booked rental car is not available the supplier is obligated to provide you a rental car of a higher category free of charge.
In general, the vehicle deposit must be paid by credit card. Sometimes the payment in cash is accepted. Please refer to your rental terms and conditions. Generally, the driver has to be the holder of the credit card. Prepaid cards won’t be accepted. Please keep in mind that the amount blocked on your credit card reduces your credit limit.
We recommend you to count in some waiting time for your car pick-up. Especially in high season waiting time is expected. The frequencies of customers are especially higher at airport stations.
Any fees for child seats, GPS, young drivers (< 25 years old) have to be paid in the car rental office. You can find the fees for the additional services in the rental conditions of the supplier.
The vehicle is often taken without an employee of the station. In case you find minor damages you have to make sure the damages are registered in the takeover record. We recommend you to check this carefully. A photo may be advisable. This is the only way to avoid troubles with the car return.
Contact for vehicle defects or accidents
Generally, the car rental company is the first contact person for you on the spot. If there are any problems with the vehicle or you are involved in an accident please contact the car supplier directly. You will find the contact details on your voucher.
Please check whether the fuel gauge matches with the fuel policy. For deviation we recommend a photo of a the fuel gauge.
