Royal London – see England by car
A visit to London is must when travelling in England. Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Kings Road and the London Eye, the list of attractions is almost endless.
Park your cabriolet or roadster in front of the legendary department store Harrods or negotiate the iconic and busy Piccadilly Circus at ease in the left-hand traffic. From your car rental office in England you can of course get the right car with the steering wheel on the righthand side.
If you want to discover more in London, you should hire a car. Many attractions, such as Windsor Castle and the Warner Brother Studios, are located outside the city and are best explored in a hire car.
In the footsteps of Shakespeare and the Beatles by car
Make the most of your stay in England and indulge in a small cultural tour. Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford-upon-Avon is well preserved, its historic buildings provide a fascinating glimpse of life in his time. Then enjoy the drive in the hire car through England to reach Liverpool, the cradle of the Beatles. Live music is still played today in the legendary Cavern Club, where the band first performed in 1961. If you hire a car in London, follow the M40 motorway towards Birmingham, then take the turn off to Stratford-upon-Avon. Then continue along the M6 to Liverpool.
Through England in a hire car: romantic Cornwall
The famous films of Rosamunde Pilcher give a good impression of the southwestern end of the island. The life of the people here is characterised by the landscape; in the small romantic towns clocks seem to go slower. If you want to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind, you should come to Cornwall in your hire car. Also awaiting you is the kilometre-long beach of St Ives Bay. To drive to Cornwall from London first take the M4 motorway to Bristol, then the M5 to Exeter and follow the signage. If you do not wish to drive all the way, you can of course take a train, bus or even a plane and pick up your hire car booked through TUI Cars at a local car rental office in Cornwall.
