Lower Saxony road trip: Hanover and the 9 cities tour
Lower Saxony invites you to take a varied road trip. Through a total of 9 cities, the route runs from Brunswick, Celle, Gottingen, Goslar, Hamelin and Hanover to Hildesheim, Luneburg and Wolfenbüttel.
There are many cultural highlights, numerous events and lots of fun to be had on the route. Why not detour to Wolfsburg, home of VW and built for the car?
Follow the footsteps of the Pied Piper of Hamelin in a hire car and make your own itinerary. A GPS navigation device makes driving so much easier. You can easily add one while making your car rental booking and use it to guide you comfortably, for instance, to Hamburg.
International Fireworks Competition Hanover
Once a year top international pyrotechnicians meet in Hanover to wow the audience and the jury with spectacular fireworks displays. While breath-taking, choreographed pyrotechnic performances are conjured in the night sky, the festival features a wide variety of fringe events, with dance, music and culinary delights. There is also a separate programme for children.
The venue is Ernst-August-Platz in Hanover, which is very close to the car rental office at the main railway station. Of course, you can also experience the fireworks from other spots, and in a hire car you will quickly find a good vantage point. The event usually takes place in the late summer months. By the way, if you are in Berlin or Hamburg, you are only two hours away from Hanover by car.
