Head off by car from Nice Airport and explore France

Since the Côte d'Azur is overrun by the many tourists in the peak summer months, a trip into the interior is a good alternative.

Drive to the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, for example. We recommend stopping off after 35 kilometres in Grasse, a beautiful old town with a cathedral from the 12th century and, above all, its famous gardens.

After another 110 kilometres you reach the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Take the route through Castellane to see the impressive mountain landscape in ever finer detail as you draw closer. Traveling in a rental car means you can stop spontaneously where you like to take in the view or enjoy the local cuisine. Nice Airport is a really good starting point for many beautiful excursions into the interior of the Côte d'Azure.
